Review

Genre: Woman Fiction
Rating: 4.5/5
Is It Part of a series? - Yes

Review: This was a great book, it had been a while since I read this series, I really need to start reading it more often, as it is a great series.  I love reading about the characters from previous books. Every chapter was about a different character, and something about their past was revealed in that section, it wasn't confusing when that happens. I can't wait to read more in this series!

Week In Books

I had a good week. I finished a book so I am always happy about that.  I went to a hockey game last night with my husband, so that was fun. My mom looked after my daughter so we made it a date night because once January comes, there won't be any time for date nights for a while.

Now about my books!!!

Finished:

Love it! Great book.

Review

Genre: Fiction
Rating 4.5/5
Review: This was a great book, it was a tough subject but like usual, the author writes it so wonderfully.  There were a twist in the book that I didn't see coming until the end.  I didn't give the book a 5 because I got to the end of the book, I found out the book wasn't finished, but thankfully there is a sequel but it doesn't say that anywhere until you get to end of the book. Can't wait to read the sequel and found out what happens with all the characters.

Summer Reads Recap

So in May, I wrote a list of summer reads that I would like to read this summer.  I didn't read all of them but I didn't think that I would, but I did read some of them.

Here is the link to the post:

 http://hobbiesandeverythinginbetween.blogspot.ca/2015/05/summer-reads.html

Here is the list:

Summer Rental by Mary Kay Andrews:
Summer Blowout by Clarie Cook
Beachcombers by Nancy Thayer
Ten Beach Road  by Wendy Wax
The Summer Girls by Mary Alice Monroe
The Beach House by Jane Green
The Summer of Us by Holly Chamberlain

I was unable to read these books this summer,  it doesn't mean that I won't read them this fall or winter.   I am not one to just read books by the season, so I am hoping to get to a few of these this year.

Books that I read:

Summer People by Elin Hilderbrand

I read this one this summer and I really enjoy it. I can't wait to read more by her. Defintely a new author for me that I will be reading lots more of.

Scoop to Kill by Wendy Watson:

It was a nice book to read on vacation. Not sure if I will read other ones by her though.

Book that I am going to be reading pretty soon from this list:

Summer's Child by Luanne Rice

Review

I tried my best to read this book, I just couldn't get into it. I read about 100 pages, and then I decide to give up on it. It was just too slow for my liking.  So I decided to not continue reading.

Reviews

It has been a while since I posted reviews, so I am not going to post for every book that I haven't reviewed, but I picked three of the latest books that I read:

Genre: Fiction
Rating:3.5/5
Review: This is my first time reading her books and it won't be my last!! I really enjoy it. It took a while but once the story got going, it was great.  I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.

Genre: Cozy Mystery
Rating:3/5
Review: I love cozy mysteries but I didn't love this one. The story was ok, but I didn't love it. I did like the main characters relationship with her family, that was pretty sweet.

Genre: Romantic Suspense
Rating: 4.5/5
Review: I love love this book. It has been a while since I have read this series, I forgot how much I love this author. Somehow I missed this book when I was reading the series many years ago. There was lots and lots of suspense in the book and I love the main character with the man in the book. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!!
