Here are some books that I am hoping to read either February, March or April. And at the end of April, I will write about what books I read.
Summary:History is thick with secrets in The Sugar Camp Quilt, seventh in the beloved Elm Creek Quilts series from bestselling author Jennifer Chiaverini. Set in Creek's Crossing, Pennsylvania, in the years leading up to the Civil War, the novel follows Dorothea Granger's passage from innocence to wisdom against the harrowing backdrop of the American struggle over slavery. She discovers that a quilt she has stitched for her uncle Jacob with five unusual patterns of his own design contains hidden clues to guide runaway slaves along the Underground Railroad. The heroic journey she undertakes leads to revelations about her own courage and resourcefulness—newfound qualities that may win her the heart of the best man she has ever known.
A roaring twenties adventure unfolds in Jennifer Chiaverini’s latest Elm Creek Quilts novel, “A series that neatly stitches together social drama and the art of quilting” (Library Journal).
Newly wed in a festive yet poignant ceremony at Elm Creek Manor, bride Elizabeth Nelson takes leave of her ancestral Pennsylvania home. Setting off with her husband, Henry, on the adventure of a lifetime, the couple’s trunks are packed with more than the wedding quilts Elizabeth envisions them dreaming beneath every night of their married lives. They are landowners who hold the deed to Triumph Ranch, one hundred twenty acres of prime California soil located in the Arboles Valley north of Los Angeles.

Carla Neggers is an suspense author that I have been reading for many years. This book is from the 1980s so it will be interesting to see what her earlier books are like.
Gabby, Billy, Izzie,
Andy, and Sean—each bursting with their own personality, strikingly
different looks and talents, in sports, science, and the arts. Each
drawn by the magical spark of connection that happens to the young. At
the exclusive Atwood School, on a bright September day, starting in
kindergarten they become an inseparable group known to outsiders as the
Big Five. In this rarefied world, five families grow closer, and five
children bloom beside one another, unaware of the storms gathering
around them.
As they turn from grade-schoolers to teenagers,
seemingly perfect lives are buffeted by unraveling families, unfortunate
missteps, and losses and victories great and small. And, one by one,
they turn back to the Big Five to regain their footing and their steady
course. But as they emerge from Atwood and enter the college years, the
way forward is neither safe nor clear. As their lives separate and
diverge, the challenges and risks become greater, the losses sharper,
and the right paths harder to choose, in a journey of friendship,
survival, and love.
In what may be her most intricate and
emotionally powerful novel yet, Danielle Steel tells a heart-wrenching,
ultimately triumphant story that spans decades, weaves together a vivid
cast of characters, and captures the challenges we face in
life—sometimes, if we’re lucky, with a friend forever by our side.
Why do I want to read this?
Danielle Steel is an author that I read every once in a while. This is a book that I got from the thrift store many years ago. I like the sound of the book and so far all her books I have enjoyed so hopefully this one I will too.

I'd need to start at the beginning again. I read the Nora Roberts one and enjoyed that. You've a variety so that helps to keep the reading juices going!
