*Challenge runs from January 1 to December 31, 2014.
*You may sign up anytime from now until November 30th, 2014.
*Books must be owned by you prior to January 1, 2014. No ARCs (none), no library books. No rereads. [To clarify--based on a question raised last year--the intention is to reduce the stack of books that you have bought for yourself or received as presents {birthday, Christmas, "just because," etc.}. Audiobooks and E-books may count if they are yours and they are one of your primary sources of backlogged books.]
*You may count any "currently reading" book that you begin prior to January 1–provided that you had 50% or more of the book left to finish in 2014. I will trust you all on that.
*Books may be used to count for other challenges as well.
*Feel free to submit your list in advance (as incentive to really get those books taken care of) or to tally them as you climb.
*There will be quarterly check-ins and prize drawings!
*A blog and reviews are not necessary to participate. If you have a blog, then please post a challenge sign up and link THAT post (not your home page) into the linky below. Non-bloggers, please leave a comment declaring your challenge level–OR, if you are a member of Goodreads, I will once again put together a group for the challenge there.
This reading challenge is hosted by My Reader's Block.

Baby’s Size:  Size of a melon
Maternity clothes?  Oh yes!! All the time, especially with this hot weather
Best moment this week:  That I am finally finished work.  Washing all the baby clothes was so cool knowing that my baby is going to be wearing them soon.

Miss anything?  Still sushi!!

Looking foward to:  I  am looking forward to meet my baby in 4-5 weeks, depends on if he or she comes early or late!!! I can't wait to be a mom.

I do have a question to ask for moms, what is your one advice for new mos?

Baby Talk

Hello,

Today is Tuesday which means baby talk!!! We are going to talk about baby goals and new mom questions.

Baby goals
  • Finish the nursery by the end of June/beginning of July. The only thing thing we have in there so far is a changing table. I think we don't need to buy a drawer as we have something else we already have ( so I can save money!!)
  • Buy crib and chair for the nursery. I have some ideas of what I want. Any advice for new moms what to look for in a crib?
  •
  • Paint a picture for the nursery.
One thing that I noticed is how overwhleming when you go to these baby stores ( baby r us... etc) I ve been have been reading what you actually need but I still feel a bit overwhelmed, but I think that is normal.  I am so excited to get everything ready for the baby, I have got some stuff already, but I still feel like I need a lot more.

So here is my question to my readers: what are your must haves for the first month?

Tuesday, May 7, 2013

I have not been blogging lately, but when I saw that one of my favourite bloggers started a link up called baby talk, I knew this was the right time for me to blog about being pregnant. I always see this meme so I thought I would do it.

It is hard to believe that I am 28 weeks already, time is just flying by.

How far along?  28 weeks
Baby’s Size:  Size of a eggplant
Maternity clothes?  Oh yes!! Now none of my regular clothes fit and now that it is getting hot, I get to wear skirts!!!
Best moment this week: Feeling the baby more and more and actually see it moves, it is like the most amazing feeling in the world.
Miss anything?  Sushi and a sandwich with cold cuts like turkey or ham
Movement: All the time, mostly when I am trying to sleep
Gender:  Team Green. We are waiting until I give birth to find out. The majority of my family thinks that I am going to have a boy!
Labor signs: Not yet
Symptoms: Sore back
Belly button in or out? Innie
Looking forward to:  I am looking forward to my prenatal classes that start at the end of the month!!!

Sunday, May 5, 2013
