Top Five Books To read in Jan/Feb 2024

My plan is every two months to talk about books that I am hoping to read.

Top five books I hope to read in Jan/Feb

Why is this on my list:  I have had this on my to read list for many years so this is going to be the year to read it.  I enjoy this series so look forward to reading it.

This looks like a good book and it is a thriller type book which I do enjoy and I heard good things about this author.

This is the next one in the Cedar Cove Series, I am hoping to read more of her books in the upcoming year.

This looks like a cute cozy mystery series and I look forward to reading it.

This is a pretty fun and easy read, look forward to reading the next one in the series.

This has been on my to read list for a while now. I really like her books so I am looking forward to read this book soon. Her books are long, but always a good read.

Christmas book challenge Update

So I didn't do that well in my Christmas book challenge. I only read 2/10 books.  I really not good at doing challenges.

Both of these books were nice and easy Christmas reads.  I would give them both four stars.

Update for my summer book challenge

Now that we are getting close to September, I thought I would do a wrap up on my summer book challenge.  I didn't do as much reading as I would have liked in the summer but still read some of the books. I find I read more in the fall and winter months.

Out of 20 books I only read 4 books, but lots of the books  thatI didn't read for the summer book challenge  I am hoping to read in Sept or October before I starting reading my Christmas books in November

These are the ones I read:

1: A Second Helping of Murder

Love this cozy mystery series.  4/5

2: The Identicals - Elin Hilderbrand

This was a bit hard for me as they did talk about grief and losing a child but I was able to stilll read and enjoy it.  4/5

3: The Nanny

Great book with lots of suspense and many twists and turn. Will definitely read more of this author. 4/5

4: The Holiday Home

This was nice easy read.  I will probably read another one by this author. 3.5/5

Here are some of the books that I didn't get to read for the summer challenge, that I am hoping to read in the next two months.

10 books of Christmas

The Christmas Reading Challenge is hosted by Jodie at That Happy Readerr Since many publishers release their holiday stories in September and October, the challenge starts on September 1, 2023 and runs through December 31, 2023. My goal is to read 10.

How it Works

  • Just choose 20, 15, 10 or even 5 books that you’d like to read (and hopefully review). They do not have to be Christmas-themed.
  • Make a quick introductory post of what you plan to read. You may to use the image the host created for her challenge, the one above or one of your own.
  • Link back to the host and comment.
  • Want to swap a book? Go for it.
  • Fancy changing your list half way through? No problem.
  • Deciding to drop your goal from 15 to 10 (or even 5)? That works.
  • Would you rather start in October or November? That works, too!

My goal is read 10 books.

You can start reading in September, but for me I am going to start reading end of October until Dec 31.
